Iron Crow Theatre

Iron Crow Theatre is an award-winning, professional, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization and Baltimore’s queer theatre. Iron Crow Theatre produces queer theatre for a queer city, celebrating the renegade and the unorthodox in all of us. We don’t seek to define queer for others but rather hold space for those who identify themselves or their work as being queer or in support of the queer experience. For us, queer can manifest itself through aesthetic, thematic elements, gender identity, sexual orientation, and/or theatrical approach or convention. By developing and producing work that explores and celebrates that which is queer, we in turn begin to engage in a dialogue about what it means to be an American.

Iron Crow Theatre strives to become Baltimore’s next professional Equity theatre, producing theatrical work of the highest artistic quality and offering performers and creatives alike competitive stipends and a creative environment founded on professionalism that is both safe and inclusive to all.

Iron Crow Theatre has been a Resident Company since 2013. Past critically-acclaimed, award-winning, and history-making productions at Baltimore Theatre Project include RENT, The Rocky Horror Show, Hurricane Diane, Head Over Heels, Mankind, Collective Rage: A Play In 5 Betties, Bare, The Laramie Project, The Mystery of Love & Sex, A New Brain, The Cradle Will Rock, The Goodies, Cloud 9, The Wild Party, The Zero Hour, Fucking A, Edith Can Shoot Things & Hit Them, Booty Candy, Apartment 213, The Homo Poe Show, 4.48 Psychosis.
