Getting here
There are a myriad of ways to get to Theatre Project. We like to encourage our audiences to be as “green” as possible, so if you have the option, please consider public transportation. It’s cheap and easy, and you’ll feel good about yourself.

If using Google Maps to locate the theatre, please type in the address, 45 West Preston Street, Baltimore, MD for accurate directions.

By Light Rail
Get off at the Cultural Center stop. You will see the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall directly in front of you. Walk past the front entrance of the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall to the intersection of Cathedral and Preston Streets. Theatre Project is located on the south-east corner; the entrance is at the top of the exterior black metal stairs just down the block.

By Metro
Get off at the State Center stop. Walk east on Preston Street to Howard Street, where you will be able to see the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Walk past the front entrance of the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall to the intersection of Cathedral and Preston Streets.  Theatre Project is located on the south-east corner; the entrance is at the top of the exterior black metal stairs just down the block.

By Bus
Theatre Project is served by several bus lines. We are one and one half blocks from North Charles Street, which is served by the northbound CityLink Silver, CityLink Green, 51, 95, 103, and Purple Route Circulator buses. Other bus lines that stop within one block of our doors include the southbound 51 and 103, and the westbound CityLink Lime, and CityLink Yellow. The southbound CityLink Silver, CityLink Green, 95 and Purple Route Circulator stop on St. Paul Street, two and one half blocks east of Theatre Project.

If you Bike here
Theatre Project now has a very convienient bike rack, located directly in front of the theatre on Preston Street.

Walking from Penn Station
When you walk out of the main station the street in front of you is Charles which is North bound for driving. Walk south on Charles three blocks to Preston. Turn right on Preston. Theatre Project is a block and a half off of Charles on the LEFT-HAND SIDE.

IF TRAVELING BY CAR

From points SOUTH of BALTIMORE:
Take I-95 NORTH to Baltimore. As you begin to see the city, look for I-395. Exit onto I-395. Go a short distance and the road splits, you want to be in one of the two LEFT-HAND LANES, the sign says “DOWNTOWN INNER HARBOR.” Go a short distance further and the road comes down to ground level along side the Camden train station and the back of the baseball stadium. At the FIRST LIGHT, turn RIGHT onto Conway Street, both the center and right-hand lanes turn right onto Conway. Go 2 lights to Charles Street, turn LEFT onto Charles. Charles is a ONE-WAY going NORTHBOUND. Go 17 lights to Preston Street. Now, as you travel NORTH on Charles Street, there is a monument in the middle of the street, the road goes around the monument, Preston Street is 7 blocks past the monument. Turn LEFT onto Preston Street. Preston is a ONE-WAY going WESTBOUND. Theatre Project is a block and a half off of Charles on the LEFT-HAND SIDE.

From points NORTH of BALTIMORE:
Take I-83, the Jones Falls Expressway, SOUTH into Baltimore. Exit at the Maryland Avenue exit (comes up after the North Avenue exit). At the end of the exit ramp there is a traffic light, turn left at the light, you will be going SOUTHBOUND/DOWNTOWN on Maryland Avenue. Go two blocks to Preston Street. Turn RIGHT onto Preston Street. Go half a block; Theatre Project is on the LEFT-HAND side.

If you get detoured from these directions, know that Theatre Project is located at 45 West Preston Street, on the corner of Preston and Cathedral streets, across Cathedral Street from the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
