Driving Directions

Directions from points SOUTH of BALTIMORE:

If you get detoured from these directions, know that Theatre Project is located at 45 West Preston Street, on the corner of Preston and Cathedral streets, across Cathedral Street from the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

Take I-95 NORTH to Baltimore. As you begin to see the city, look for I-395. Exit onto I-395. Go a short distance and the road splits, you want to be in one of the two LEFT-HAND LANES, the sign says "DOWNTOWN INNER HARBOR." Go a short distance further and the road comes down to ground level along side the Camden train station and the back of the baseball stadium. At the FIRST LIGHT, turn RIGHT onto Conway Street, both the center and right-hand lanes turn right onto Conway. Go 2 lights to Charles Street, turn LEFT onto Charles. Charles is a ONE-WAY going NORTHBOUND. Go 17 lights to Preston Street. Now, as you travel NORTH on Charles Street, there is a monument in the middle of the street, the road goes around the monument, Preston Street is 7 blocks past the monument. Turn LEFT onto Preston Street. Preston is a ONE-WAY going WESTBOUND. Theatre Project is a block and a half off of Charles on the LEFT-HAND SIDE.

From points NORTH of BALTIMORE:

Take I-83, the Jones Falls Expressway, SOUTH into Baltimore. Exit at the Maryland Avenue exit (comes up after the North Avenue exit). At the end of the exit ramp there is a traffic light, turn left at the light, you will be going SOUTHBOUND/DOWNTOWN on Maryland Avenue. Go two blocks to Preston Street. Turn RIGHT onto Preston Street. Go half a block; Theatre Project is on the LEFT-HAND side.

Parking

If you are driving, we recommend allowing plenty of time for parking as it can be tricky in this area, especially when the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Lyric Opera House also have performances. There is some street parking in the neighborhood. Several parking lots and garages are also in the area and are noted on our map. Parking garages are located across the street (enter from Cathedral Street), and on the far/west side of the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. Surface parking lots are located at the Mt. Royal Station building of the Maryland Institute College of Art (enter from Cathedral Street), and at the southwest corner of the intersection of Charles and Preston Streets (enter from Charles Street).
